Wireless Sensor Network

I am currently working on a research in the field of wireless sensor networks. The specific area that I am looking into is energy aware self-healing wireless sensor networks. Sensor networks are getting popular which may boost from 2010 onwards. Sensor networks is widely used in many areas such as habitat monitoring, indoor climate control, surveillance, wildife habitats, inteeligent alarms as well as in military and medical disnostics. Sensors are very tiny devices mounted at the target area to track events and respond to the requested nodes. Most of the research that has been done for energy aware routing protocols were mainly focusing on static and stationary nodes such as in the forest or weather monitoring. But I am looking into mobile sensor nodes which can track events in a mobile or moving positions such as mobile robots which has implanted sensor nodes. The research mainly focuses on self-healing energy aware routing for mobile sensor nodes. A possibility of looking into bio-inspired methods to tackle this problem or so called challenge is awaiting. Though challenging and very technical, yet excited to venture into it. Any suggestions is welcomed..
